FAQ

What riding level should I have?

Ideal for an intermediate and above skill level, for women who are competent bike riders and feel comfortable on a variety of terrain, and weather! A good level of fitness is required to really get the most out of it and make it enjoyable for you, and means that we will be able to explore some proper mountain terrain. There is a friendly and relaxed coaching session part way through the retreat. If you have any questions at all and want to chat about whether this is for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch! retreats@hannahbarnes.co.uk

How many will be on the retreat?

There is space for 14, a nice number for it to maintain that relaxed and personal vibe, and for everyone to really get the most out of it!

What about the yoga?

Don’t be put off if you haven’t done much, or any, yoga before! These few days should give you a nice intro to how yoga can benefit your riding and every day life. There will be morning and evening yoga classes, but don’t feel you have to join both if you fancy a lie in or to have some down time. This is your time!

Where is Basecamp?

This Ride OM retreat is taking place near Fort William, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. We will be based at Nevis Lodge for meals and yoga, with shared accommodation in three big Mongolian Yurts just a short walk away, all with beautiful views to Ben Nevis!

What is Scotland like in September?

Long late Summer days, warm(er) rivers for swimming and most of all no midges! Bring clothes for all weather.
